Our woods:
Selected woods of impeccable origins

Nowadays, people are becoming increasingly aware of issues relating to sustainability and the conservation of resources. For a long time now, we have been sourcing our wood from selected suppliers who can certify the impeccable origin of the wood: The woods we use come exclusively from certified cultivation and comply with the provisions of the Washington Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.

Employees with many years of experience, modern precision machines and well-coordinated production processes stand for careful handling of the resources available to us. With regard to our wood, careful handling means keeping offcuts and production waste to a minimum.

Our efforts include the conscious production with woods that may have natural inclusions and pigmentation. These visual features characterize the natural material wood and are a sign of its individuality. These characteristics include, for example

  • black or dark pigmentation on maple, pear and boxwood instruments,
  • individual light or differently colored stripes on grenadilla and boxwood,
  • as well as stronger colorations in olive and rosewood.

It goes without saying that we only use woods that meet our high quality standards. The visual differences therefore have no effect on the sound.

Information on the sound characteristics of the different woods can be found at FAQ.

Individuality you can see
and quality you can hear: every piece of wood is unique and so is your recorder.
